Starting out as a programmer and an anthropologist, Thomas Lohninger kept Digital Rights as a hobby until he intensively accompanied the EU Net Neutrality Act as Policy Advisor for European Digital Rights.
With a passion for fundamental rights, Thomas was one of the driving forces behind the campaign and has a strong work focus on net neutrality, privacy and mass surveillance.
Currently, he’s the Executive Director of the NGO, a Fellow of the Mozilla Foundation and a Non-Residential Fellow at the Center of Internet and Society of the Stanford Law School, focusing his work on Net Neutrality in the European Union.
